Plus Size Wedding Dresses: How to Measure It?
According to the latest survey, an increasing number of people exceed the standard weight. What's more, the related statistical data shows women account for a considerable proportion. And many wedding dress shops sell the ready-made wedding gowns which are in regular dress sizes. These are not fit for many fat girls in their plus sizes. Under this circumstance, much more fat bridals make decisions to purchase plus size wedding dresses online. Before you shop online, it is an important thing that you should know your measurement before you order, so that you will choose a suitable plus size wedding dress. If you do not want to waste too much time, there is a simple guide show you how to measure yourself for a plus size wedding dress. You can figure your measurements and size in term of following ideas.
At first there are some notices we should know. The method of measuring a plus size wedding dress is slightly different from the method of measuring others clothes. For example, the length measurements are taken from the clavicle what is the hollow in the base of your neck. You should pay attention to these differences. What's more, we must stand comfortably with equal weight on both feet and arms resting easily at sides. Now we start to measure ourselves. There are four items which do we measure.
The first item of a plus size wedding dress is bust. You should measure around the fullest part of the bust, and keep the tape measure parallel to the floor. It is a good idea for you to ask somebody else to help you. You maybe not get an accurate measurement by yourself. Another person can prevent the tape from slipping and getting a more accurate measurement.
The second item of a plus size wedding dress is waist. I think it is easy for everybody to measure the natural waistline. You can measure a line around the body at the narrowest part of the waist. You can do it without help.
The third item of a plus size wedding dress is hip. You should measure the fullest part of the hip which is about 10cm below the waist, and keep the tape measure parallel to the floor. It is also best done by somebody else.
The fourth item of a plus size wedding dress is length. The length of a plus size wedding dress is involved in two parts, dress length and skirt length. Dress length is taken from the bottom of the clavicle hollow at the front of the neck to the bottom of the hem of the dress. And Skirt length without waistband is taken from the center of the back, starting at the finished edge of the skirt. Skirt length with waistband is taken from the center back, starting at the bottom waistband seam. You should ask somebody to measure your size.
In my opinion, it is wise to measure your measurement. Then you can make sure that you wear a plus size wedding dress that is comfortable and fitting.
